The Altice Forum Braga received today, January 10th, the Braga Business Ambassadors Summit and the Strategic Council of InvestBraga. The Agency for the Economic Dynamization of Braga gathered in the morning the Business Ambassadors in an initiative whose objective was to discuss topics of business and economic interest, including the challenge of attracting more investment and talent to the city and the presentation of the results of InvestBraga, new projects for 2020 and business missions to take place this new year. During the afternoon, the Strategic Council was initiated, a forum for discussion and strategic advice for the economic development and investment attraction of the municipality of Braga.

The meeting served as a basis for the balance of InvestBraga's activity in 2019 and for the discussion of the actions that make up the Strategic Plan for the Economic Development of Braga in the coming years. It was followed by the presentation of the "Human Power Hub Braga" project, a new Social Innovation Centre in Braga and the presentation of the next steps of InvestBraga's "Talent" project.

During the meeting of the Braga Business Ambassadors, the turnover of each InvestBraga business unit was presented, totaling more than 2 million euros and three hundred thousand euros, with 75% of this volume attributed to the management of the activity of Altice Forum Braga. Suggested topics for the 5th Braga Economy Week to be held from May 25th to 29th, one of InvestBraga's most important events, were discussed.

Among the strategic projects, it was also discussed the continuation of investment in several business areas, which is, as mentioned by Ricardo Rio, Mayor of Braga and President of InvestBraga, one of the purposes of the Strategic Plan.

The objective of these summits is to listen to the opinion of the Business Ambassadors of Braga in solving and implementing the challenges proposed at each meeting. It is intended, in this purpose, that the Business Ambassadors disclose, with those with whom they establish contacts, whether customers, suppliers or national or international partners, the potential of the City, helping to identify opportunities in attracting more investment.

The Braga Business Ambassadors Summit is a set of several meetings promoted by InvestBraga, where it is intended, in addition to the presentation of the balance sheet for the year just ended, to present business challenges for the new year.  This year's edition strengthens this type of meetings as a fruitful space for collecting contributions, presenting challenges and designing strategies among stakeholders.

The InvestBraga Strategic Council, followed in the afternoon, with the opportunity to analyze the current economic context and the reality of the municipality of Braga. In this forum for discussion and advice, the need for strategic cooperation between InvestBraga, Braga City Council and strategic partners for local economic development was once again addressed.
